WEEKEND IN THE 6

This past weekend my husband and I attended Monster Energy Supercross, a professional motocross race held inside the Rogers Center. We've been attending this event since we started dating 9 years ago and it's become a tradition that we look forward to each and every year.

Last year we stayed at the Delta as it's situated perfectly, overlooking the Roger's Center. It's nice to be able to come and go at your leisure without having to start your car - or pay for downtown parking for that matter! Unfortunately this year the Delta was completely booked for the weekend of the event so we were forced to explore other options. At the suggestion of a friend we decided to try out Airbnb for the first time and I have to say the experience was fantastic.

We were lucky enough to snag a penthouse condo in the Ice Condominiums, which made for some spectacular views. Ironically enough I happen to be TERRIFIED of heights and didn't quite make it all the way out onto the balcony so thanks to Mike for the awesome shots.

While my fave rider Ryan Dungey didn't quite bring home the win this year it was another great weekend spent laughing, eating, drinking, and hanging out with friends - however the most memorable moment of the trip had to be when all 9 of us got stranded in the elevator for 45 minutes! #goodtimes?
