LET IT SNOW!

FASHION

THE PINES. Powassan, ON. CANADA

I think it's safe to say that we're gunna have a white Christmas!

Subsequently I titled this post "Let it Snow" and my-oh-my, did it ever! On the day we scheduled to shoot this Christmas-themed look, a legitimate snow storm ensued. Needless to say my hair was soaking wet by the time we wrapped up but the results were well worth it!

As usual Emily conducted herself like a well-seasoned pro; adapting to the less than ideal shooting conditions and deftly adjusting her camera's settings to offset the blurring effect that rapidly falling snow can have. Looking at the final result, you'd never know we were standing in the middle of a snowstorm.

Every time I collaborate with Emily I'm blown away with her positivity, professionalism, and most of all her results. I simply cannot recommend this girl enough! Check out Table & Pine Photography next time you're wanting some special moments captured. She's now expanding her services to include studio sessions and weddings so book asap! You don't wanna miss out on this up-and-coming local photographer! ...though if you ask me she's already arrived! Love ya girl! You're absolutely killin' it out there!

Now let's talk fashion!

This is actually the second time I've featured this simple yet striking gown on my blog (click HERE) but I couldn't resist styling it a second time as I recently acquired the perfect pair of booties to complement it.

Enter Eloise.

Yes, these boots have a name - and red soles - which made them absolutely ideal for this Christmas-inspired shoot.

That's right, there's a new pair of Louboutin's in my closet and the specs on these indicate that they're going to get even more wear than my Pigalle's.

Covered in Veau Velour, the heel on these beauties is 100mm which make them WAY more practical not to mention more comfortable than my previous pair.

**Getting designer shoes a second time around I'm trying to be more proactive about preventing damage and increasing the longevity of the soles. I was sent some complimentary sole protectors (shout out to @CoveredSole)! to keep my red soles looking fresh so I'm excited to see how they hold up and protect my investment down the road.

In my opinion you simply can't go wrong with the colour red, (whether on your body or your soles ;)) especially around this festive season; worst case scenario someone will call you Mrs. Claus...

This look is the perfect example of why I think the statement "Less is More" rings so true with respect to fashion. Quality, statement pieces speak volumes and don't need to be crowded by endless accessories or layers.. While I do enjoy creating more complex outfits, my favourite ones are often the most simple; no fuss no muss. This is definitely one of those ensembles and I hope that the seasonal colour and gifting theme it showcases helps you get into the holiday spirit! ...if you aren't already.

Wishing you all a safe and Merry Christmas! xo
