One of the things I love about fashion is that there are so many new and exciting trends to discover. No matter what, they seem to roll out on a conveyor belt endlessly, enticing you to open your wallet and join the club. While I do manage to stay fairly up to date on current trends I'm pretty choosy about which ones I actually jump on the bandwagon for. 

If I instantly fall in love with a trend I'll purchase something right away but that's only for the #obsessed level - for example the clear aviator lenses I'm wearing in this post...

For the most part I wait until a trend has been around for a while before I rep it myself.

Case in point: I've been married for six years but this is the first time that I've worn a "wifey" shirt.

 

Now I am legit. haha

This shirt is super comfy - absolutely ideal for wearing around the house or even while you're out and about running errands. The lightweight fabric and off-the-shoulder neckline give it some serious cool-girl vibes, which is why I chose to pair it with my favourite ripped black jeans from Fashion Nova.

Ripped jeans definitely communicate that "I put no effort into what I wear but still look good" illusion.

 

Laid back, comfy, and casual has been my go-to, especially as of late with the cold weather creeping up on us. 

Lounging around, reading a book, and drinking tea; all perfect activities for those cold winter evenings that are headed our way! Hope you enjoy the photos!
