NOVEMBER 13TH 2020

MICHAEL (KORS) & MERLOT

FASHION

Callander, ON. CANADA

This past week we've experienced the most beautiful weather here in Ontario with temperatures reaching the double digits! - totally unprecedented for the month of November. With that, I figured it would be a great time to shoot one last outfit before the snow falls...(and I no longer want to risk exposing my cute suede boots to the snow and salt damage that winter brings.)

Once again I've teamed up with Emily (of Table & Pine Photography) and this time we were able to shoot in "golden hour" which I hope you'll agree, yielded some gorgeous results...

Fall has to be one of the best seasons for dressing, with the ability to double up on cozy layers and double-down on cute accessories. Recently I lucked out and in the same day purchased this great suede lined, faux leather jacket as well as a pair of beautiful over the knee boots in almost the exact same shade. At first I thought the colour was burgundy but upon further reflection decided that the shade has more of a purple undertone, not unlike red wine. Obviously "merlot" has a more glamourous ring to it than "burgundy" so here we are! Michael Kors & Merlot - a match made in fashion heaven.

In my opinion, no fall outfit is truly complete without a scarf and a fantastic pair of boots.

Cue over-the-knee suede (in that fantastic red wine shade) with cute little bow-ties behind the knee... AND, I might add, they're super comfortable with a chunky heel and a good deal of stretch in the legs.

As for the rest of the accessories,

I've been a long time fangirl of Michael Kors with a particular soft spot for his watches. The one I'm wearing here is actually a man's watch but easily passes as unisex. The second MK accessory to grace this look is the two-toned grey monogrammed scarf. I found that the mixture of the MK pattern of the scarf with the chunky knit fabric of the sleeveless sweater contributed more visual interest to the outfit overall.

Last but not least, to complete this look I incorporated touches of gold with delicate hoop earrings, a braided gold bracelet, and gold hardware on the leopard print bag which I find really pops against the merlot\grey colour-combo.

End result: a casual yet classy look with just a touch of glam.

Hope you enjoyed this week's look and are inspired to go out and create a look or two of your own!
