PAPER FLOWER ACCENT WALL
BEAUTY SPOT: MY HOME SWEET HOME
I was inspired to make this flower wall by the 2009 Chanel runway, as designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The runway featured beautiful white laser cut flowers and as soon as I saw them I knew that I wanted to replicate the look for a feature wall in my home. I have moved these flowers several times, (they originally hung in my bedroom), but they are currently at the end of a narrow hallway in order to add some interest to an otherwise boring space.
This is where I had hung my flower wall originally - before I decided that my bedroom needed a fresh coat of paint.
My inspiration: The Chanel Runway.
I haven't shared this on my blog yet but I also happen to be an artist. That being said, creating visuals is something that I am confident with and it definitely came in handy when I made these paper flowers. I made these flowers about a year ago and I didn't follow a pattern but rather made them up as I went along. Because I didn't record my method I found a tutorial on YouTube for you instead. If you want to make your own paper flower backdrop below is a video that is somewhat similar to the method I used to create my flowers. Let me know if you decide to make you own! I would love to see what you come up with.
