MINI CROISSANT SANDWICHES

LIFESTYLE

YOU WILL NEED:

Mini Croissants

Black Forest Ham (Shaved)

Baby Spinach

1 Royal Gala Apple

Butter

Mustard

Mayonnaise

These little sandwiches are delightful! Today I had quite a few mini croissants that I needed to polish off so I came up with these sandwiches for lunch using ingredients that I already had in my fridge. They are really easy to put together but still have that gourmet look and taste which would also be perfectly suited for appetizer plates over the holidays.

I bought these mini croissants at my local Sobey's grocery store. There were 12 of them in a container for $3.99, which is a steal in my opinion considering how they basically melt in your mouth - they are THAT good. To make these little sandwiches I began by cutting the croissants in half but not cutting all the way through so as to keep the bread still intact. Then I spread butter, mayo, and mustard on one side of each croissant and then filled them up with the rest of the ingredients: shaved black forest ham (from the deli), baby spinach leaves, and grated apple to top them off. The combination of the ham and apple is fantastic! I'm pretty happy with this spontaneous creation and I think you'll really enjoy it too.

Enjoy!
